Sena Alata Herb

Sena Alata or Daun Panau is used to treat Panau or Ringworm. The Japanese use this for tea. More research could be carried out on this local herb which grow well in all places.

Some companies had produced balm from this plant.

Roselle Cordial is now produced in SABAH. There are also other Roselle products like Roselle Sauce. Roselle has lots of Vitamin C and better taken as chilled.

Roselle comes from the flower of Roselle plant. It is easy to grow but the variety from MARDI is better for better results than the Kampung variety.

Virgin Coconut Oil

Some say it is the Healthiest Oil On Earth. Virgin Coconut Oil or VCO comes from the coconuts which is grated and pressed by a machine through cold press. It can be taken raw internally and externally.

It is one product that can be developed in the villages and help uplift the living standards of the poor people in the villages where there are lots and lots of coconut trees. When you buy VCO you help this group of poor people and help overcome their poverty.

VCO can also act as base for other finished products like soap and cosmetics.

Bio-Diversity and Bio-Technlology

Our country is rich in bio-diversity, but has yet to be turned into commercially viable products as our country lacks the bio-technology facilities. We do not yet have Clusters for Herbs like what we have for Commodities like Palm Oil and Timber. The Government had set up clusters for these commodities but not for Herbs of Bio-Diversity.

Minister of Health for Malaysia had stated that there is big potential for herbal products. Ginseng is a popular herbal products from China, Korea, USA and Russia. Malaysia is now known for its Malaysian Ginseng or locally known as "Tongkat Ali".

Tongkat Ali is basically an energy drink. As an energy drink it is suitable for those people who work long hours like the Planters, Contractors, Farmers, Fishermen or those working in Night shifts. This group needs more energy than usual. Tongkat Ali could provide them with such added energy they require. Try it to experince the goodness and added benefits.
